I’m not gonna long this out, because I’m bored, I’m tired and uuugghhhh… I’m going to post the shows that I’ll be watching and the shows that I’ll TRY to blog. Emphasis on the word “TRY”. (As if the word “TRY” wasn’t emphasized enough.) First I’ll start with the shows that I’ll be blogging. I’ve put a lot of thought into this and since I usually blog 4 shows a season, I think I might lighten the load a little and blog just two or three.
I watched the PVs sometime ago, and the character designs remind me a lot of Code Geass. Anyway, Sunrise has an original show going on here, and I like writing about original shows, as much as I do watching them. The setup is pretty standard. Main protagonist meets mysterious transfer student. From what I’ve read, it’s a semi-mecha-school-action show. Similar to the recent Star Driver, though the plot formula is a lot different. Nobuhiko Okamoto, Iori Nomizu and Katsuyuki Konishi (the latter who I’ve been hearing a lot from since I’m in the middle of watching the Tales of Symphonia OVA) are notable seiyuus starring in this show. I’m looking forward to what it has to offer.
Dantalian no Shoka
I love myself a good mystery show, whether it’s anime or movies or TV shows. I may have stalled GOSICK right now, but I’m going to be catching up with it, along with this show called Dantalian no Shoka which is dark mystery anime that follows Huey and Dalian through a series of investigation on graphic murders and the like. GAINAX is also heading this adaptation from Gakuto’s light novel, which is rather interesting. Daisuke Ono will be voicing the male lead of the show, Huey while Miyuki Sawashiro is voicing the female lead, Dalian.
Kamisama no Memo-chou
Similar to my last choice, this show also involves mysteries. Similar setup: Boy meets shut-in girl who’s really intelligent and they solve crimes together. However, the types of crimes they deal with are more modern…more urban. A lot of underground crime going on. Reminds me of another show, but I can’t remember. But yeah, I’m going to be following this show.
What I’m Watching
- Usagi Drop
- Kami-sama Dolls
- Manyuu Hiken-chou (don’t judge me)
- Mawaru Penguin Drum
- Mayo Chiki!
The only episode I did not see was the episode about Mikuni’s past, regarding his sister or whatnot. But I was briefed about it from a few friends and various anime blogs. I’m pretty surprised that this show only had eleven. I was under the assumption that it’d have 12/13 episodes. Same with AnoHana. In any case, I watched the last two episodes back to back at my friends’ house, screencapped what I needed and discussed my thoughts of the show overall with my friend. I have to say, I did quite watching the finale, even though I didn’t understand it all too well. Read the rest of this entry
This isn’t my fandub. A friend of mine, Missack spent over 100 hours making this. I give her massive respect for her hard work on getting this complete. It’s a full English fandub of The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya movie. It features a great cast from the Voice Acting Alliance (VAA) community, and spot on sound mixing from Missack herself. I know some people are little wary about fandubs, but I ask that you give this a chance, since this is some real great work from all the cast members.
It’s featured on YouTube and you can find all the parts HERE.

“The Flower Blooming on That Summer”
First of all, I didn’t cry. I was supposed to but I watched this show at 4am. I guess I was just too tired to cry. Second of all, I know I said in my last post about my current situation and about how I can’t really post about anime. I still can’t. But see, college is over, and I have until September free (unless I get a job that is). I may not have a laptop, but I’m able to utilize my little brother’s one, but only at night. So I can only watch anime at night, and I can only blog about it at night. That explains why I’m writing this at bloody 4am in the morning. While I’m not back in full-swing, I just wanted to pop in and share my impressions on AnoHana. Read the rest of this entry
Well, first of all let me say that I’m surprised that this site is still getting hits after my length of inactivity. 10k hits, I’m rather pleased. In any case, I haven’t posted anything in ages because many things have happened with me over the past month. Most recent of which is that my stepdad got violent towards me and my laptop ended up getting smashed at his hands, so that’s basically everything I do online gone. Though this happened last Thursday. Before that, I’ve just been finalizing all the work I need to hand in by Monday 20th June. I should be doing work now, instead of doing this but oh well.
I haven’t watched anime in AGES, and really the only shows I’ve been keeping up with (by going over to my friend’s house) is [C], Ao no Exorcist and Deadman Wonderland. AnoHana and Hanasaku Iroha are done, I think? I’m gonna catch up with those during the summer. As for a new laptop, well I don’t know if my stepdad is paying for a new one (he better). If not, I’ll wait until my university grants come in on September and buy a Macbook then.
In other words, there won’t be any anime related posts here for a long while.
So apparently I’m in a composing mood. To be honest, I need to be if I’m going to compose a really good song as part as my Final Major Project for college. The deadline for that was last Friday, but then our music rooms got flooded from the heavy rain that happened the previous day. So it’s been moved to next Friday. In any case, this song is another (and probably the last) warm-up song before I start composing something fierce. It’s called “Piano” and by the name, it’s heavily piano-based. If you’re wondering why the piano sounds very…mechanic, it’s because I don’t own a MIDI keyboard. Every song I’ve ever made (save 2 or 3 songs) has been hand-pianted on the paino roll tool.
So I make music, for those (read: all of you) who don’t know. I recently started making tracks again after about 3-4 months of not doing much musically. A lot of my recent songs (2009/10) can be found HERE. In any case, as always, to get myself warmed up after a break of no music-making, I make a track. It’s not much, and it isn’t long, but I was kinda playing around with FL Studio 10’s new synth plugins “Harmless” and “Sakura”.
